In vitro screening of antagonistic activity of microorganisms against anthracnose disease

چکیده
Anthracnose disease can be successfully controlled by chemical pesticides in conventional fruit growing. However, organic farming, order to maintain environmental safety and fulfill consumer demand for pesticide-free food, the control of this is a major problem. The use biocontrol agents with antagonistic mechanism many phytopathogens an innovative alternative cost-effective eco-friendly production. activities Trichoderma viride Bacillus subtilis were tested vitro against Colletotrichum acutatum, one plant pathogens responsible anthracnose. microbial antagonists inhibited mycelial growth dual culture. T. exhibited strong antagonism C. acutatum isolates (80%). B. isolate also had effect on inhibiting development (37.5%). results study identified as promising biological further testing anthracnose fruits.

Screening of Antagonistic Activity of Probiotic Bacteria Against Some Food-Borne Pathogens
The objectives of this study were to assess the microbiological quality of Egyptian yoghurt and to investigate the antagonistic activity of some probiotic bacteria against some food borne pathogens in vitro and in yoghurt. The results indicated a poor microbiological quality of yoghurt, since the microbiological parameters recorded higher values than the admissible levels. Results from the agar...
متن کاملScreening of Antagonistic Activity of Microorganisms against Colletotrichum Acutatum and Colletotrichum Gloeosporioides
The antagonistic activities of five biocontrol agents: Trichoderma harzianum, Gliocladium roseum, Bacillus subtilis, Streptomyces noursei and Streptomyces natalensis, were tested in vitro against Colletotrichum acutatum and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, the causal agents of anthracnose disease in fruit crops. The microbial antagonists inhibited mycelial growth in the dual culture assay and co...

heteropoly acids (hpa) and their salts have advantages as catalysts which make them both economically and environmentally attractive, strong br?nsted acidity, exhibiting fast reversible multi-electron redox transformations under rather mild conditions, very high solubility in polar solvents, fairly high thermal stability in the solid states, and efficient oxidizing ability, so that they are imp...

Debaryomyces hanseniZopf isolated from the fructoplane of apples were found to be effective as biocontrol agent against rot of papaya caused by Ulocladium. chartarum(Pr.) Simm. The ability of D. hansenii to prevent infection of U. chartarum was lost when the antagonist cells were killed by autoclaving. Cell free culture filtrates of antagonist were unable to prevent disease incidence. Efficacy ...
متن کاملIn vitro antagonistic activity of Lactobacillus casei against Helicobacter pylori
Helicobacter pylori is one of the most common causes of chronic infections in humans. Curing H. pylori infection is difficult because of the habitat of the organism below the mucus adherent layer of gastric mucosa. Lactobacilli are known as acid-resistant bacteria and can remain in stomach for a long time than any other organism, we aimed in this study to examine the efficacy of Lactobacillus c...
